Why do we call this photo-shoots Engagement Photo sessions? It is not like people JUST got engaged, right?! Shouldn’t it be called something like - “Love Story” where we ( photographers) capture THE LOVE of this couple and they ( the couple) are getting comfortable with us (photographers) - so then on a wedding day there is no tension and no “getting to know” part- we already friends and not just random strangers??? When I met Lance and Shanon- right away I knew it is not going to be just some kind of boring traditional engagement photosession! ( and just so we are clear- I have not had any boring photo sessions yet! I am always having fun with my camera and people I get to photograph)  I am seeing something so powerful and breathtaking: two people madly in love with each other ( Lance especially is head over heels with Shanon- so easy to see), and not only that- they are everything: fun,  spontaneous, random, smart, funky… I loved getting to know them and hanging out with them on a beach and in botanical gardens in Sarasota was just so amazing! They took a huge chunk of my heart right away that always going to belong to them- and my ribs still hurt from laughing with them ( or them laughing at me? )

Shanon and Lance met on Shanon’s first day at her new job at Tampa. She already had taken the tour of a school where she was about to start
