My name is Leeka! I am Cincinnati based Wedding and Portrait Photographer and here you will find mix of my professional and personal pictures. I am a natural light photographer. My style is artistic, fresh, modern and playful! Just to say the least- I LOVE taking pictures! I get a {little} carried away with my camera! :-)

{Gregory}… dear friend of mine or another reason why I LOVE photography!!!!

I so love photography! Through this incredible craft I get to meet so many wonderful people, who in return become so much more then just clients, and maybe that IS another reason WHY I love photography so much!

Let’s take Gregory here! All right I will be honest, photography wasn’t the reason why we’ve met, or how we met -it is a totally different story which I am not going to bring up here, but…he DID ask me to photograph him for his new upcoming website! See, Gregory is so wonderful not only because our birthday is on the same day, or because he got good looks and AMAZING personality to go with it ( AND, ladies, he happens to be SINGLE at this time!!!!), and not just because he makes me laugh till my abs hurt every time we get together, and not even because he LOVES sushi maybe a little bit less then I do, he happens to have a PASSION for music which is as STRONG as my passion for photography!!! He is a musician, a song writer, a music producer and just OH- so much FUN to be around!

The location for this photoshoot was secured by Gregory’s Uncle- Dave Althammer, it’s “Sardinia Concrete” - OMG, guys! I loved all the textures and rusty looks we got there. I so hope I will be able to go back there for “Trash The Dress” Photosession- that location is EVERY photographer’s DREAM! :))))

But, can you imagine this- we almost canceled that day!!!!!! It was raining all day and….Yes, we almost called it off- and I get goose bumps just thinking that all these 300 images would never existed if last minute we just wouldn’t say- OH WELL, let’s JUST go! :))) The lighting was PERFECT! I loved it! As soon as we were done, we got in our cars, Greg was changing his clothes ( it wasn’t raining, but oh BOY, was he WET???!!!…just wait and see….), I was going through images, Lana was bringing our stuff back in a car, and IT POURED RAIN!!!! The rain was so intense I could not even see Greg’s Car! It all happened so fast we all were laughing and could not believe our luck!

No I am puzzled: of course I can not post all 300 something images on my blog, but I absolutely LOVE every one of them! :)))) All right, so these are the images I would call my favorites!!!!

And here is a little snapshot, taken by my sweet darling friend Lana, of me and Greg being dorks…well, me at least! :))

{Salinas Family} Part III

July 18, 2009

Last part of this fun wedding took place in Forest Park Hall. DJ kept guests ( and photographer) entertained with energetic disco style music, fun games and pranks! Before we head down to Reception we decided to make one last stop and •OH•BOY• was it worth it!! I was able to snap some really beautiful images! And the spot was recommended by the limo driver!

Guys, it was such a pleasure to get to know you and spend a whole day with you and your family and friends! From the bottom of my heart I wish you endless happiness and joy! I hope looking back at this day my pictures will be able to help recreate feelings and emotions you experienced on your wedding day! :)))

{Salinas Family} Part I

When Sandy called me the very first time- I was in Florida on my vacation! She got my phone number through a mutual friend - who thinks I look like Julia Stiles in movie “Bourne Ultimatum”- that’s how he remembered me and that I am a photographer! I was excited from the get go- Sandy seemed like such a wonderful person on the phone, we quickly reached an agreement and kept in touch until the BIG DAY! She was nervous- her and her husband have been married in court for a while now and finally were able to organize a wedding ceremony at St Bernard church with reception following right after at the Forest Park Hall.

With two kids asking for mommy’s full attention, no wonder Sandy was stressing out a lot before the wedding- but, not to fear, with the help of friends and family they were able to create such a fun and cheerful Event! I have never seen people play so much at American wedding! :)Well I have to add- the wedding was half Mexican and DJ was Russian- that got to do a lot with it I think!

When I was going home I could not even talk with my assistant- from talking and smiling all day my muscles were giving up on me!

I know, Sandy and her family were waiting a long time for the sneak peak, and finally I pulled myself together and finished editing all of my favorite pictures from their event. Since there are so many of them I will be breaking my posts in three parts! Hopefully just three- there are so many pictures I want to share with you guys!

All right- without further delay, Mr and Mrs Salinas!!!! :)))
