…………….{ I have been always drawn to the word “MAGIC“! No wonder the name of my company was shaped somehow around it! And I always think of my camera as a “Magic Wand”! :) Indeed the world around us is so magical and geared up with my camera in hand I get to discover incredible places, fun people and freeze those magical moments, create magical memories! }…………….

And so it was TRULY MAGICAL EVENING!

Katie and I became friends first as two photographers. We went to do a wedding together, and did a project at Tony’s workshop once. When she e-mailed me about family portraits photoshoot I was SO EXCITED! We have planned this day in advance and of course there was a chance of rain! With all the humidity we get lately! All day I was praying that it won’t rain- or at least it will rain a little and then stop! Just in time for our photoshoot. I was making bargains with the Universe: I will recycle, I will be kinder, I will do whatever You want, just please, please, give me an evening with good lighting! And it rained all day on and off. The skies were so dark when I took off to our location, I was wondering if it really was 6pm. We pulled in on a parking lot of a Woodland Park and it started to rain again. Me and Katie got under gazebo to catch up ( we have not seen each other for a very long time!!!!!) and discuss clothing options for her family. As soon as we got done talking- it stopped raining. magically. And so we hit it off by playing around the bushes and jumping and laughing- aw, there is nothing more magical then kids laughing and can those two laugh???!!!! I had such an AMAZING time with them! The view was magical! The whole park was transferred into a fairy tale Kingdom through my lens, I could not believe my eyes! I was singing and laughing in my car on the way home! I was thinking: Oh, dear God, thank you so much for hearing me out tonight and doing just exactly what I’ve asked for, no, not exactly, it was SO |……………………….| MUCH better then what I asked. Here is a little sneak peak into what I got to capture last night, I know there is someone out there impatiently waiting! :))

{My trip to Florida}

August 22, 2009

I love Florida. I love being with my friends. And now, since I’ve been there, I LOVE Universal Studio’s Amusement Park! I’ve had such a great time there and can not wait to come back! Elena and Andrew were amazing hosts as usual, and it was great catching up with Natasha! Rain was short and refreshing, and apparently I cannot play drums or not interested in Guitar Hero on Wii… Not my cup of tea, sorry guys! But it was fun watching you rock out!
Of course we took a lot of photos and I am going to post an entry with all the best shots! Elena was also video recording our fun filled days and hopefully will make a little video clip soon!
Work is great as usual- very busy and a lot ( A LOT) of pretty pictures to share!!!! I am excited about upcoming photoshoots and weddings!!! Stay tuned!

Today was just something, guys! Not just any day, but a REAL DAY OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS!
First, today’s photoshoot, Elena’s photoshoot. We have been getting ready for it for so many days, talking every little detail and Elena planned every little detail of her every outfit as well and OH MY GOD did she do a great job? I mean really…. I showed up at her place today and was just blown away but all the gorgeous outfits and accessories to go with every one of them! She had her hair done and we tried to book a make up artist for her but ended up not using one - she did her makeup herself and what an amazing job she did- she looked super! As I was setting her room up for photoshoot, I discovered that my new and beloved Mark 5D II is unresponsive in Manual mode, and only works in sloppy boring Auto mode! I mean NONE of the buttons worked: ISO, white balance, menu- nothing worked! To say that I freaked out is to say nothing! Yes I had my old Rebel with me but I discovered all the batteries were dead on it as well as I checked my bag THAT same morning and everything worked just fine! I spent an hour trying to work something out when by the end of it Canon’s tech support just plain told me- you have to send your camera in for service! I was ready to cry. Oh well…. Then. My lovely dear friend Svetlana told me her hubby is on his way home from work, earlier and I could swing by to borrow her camera body for photoshoot downtown we were planning that evening. But her battery is dead, so she told me to wait at least an hour before I get it, so I did……
On our way there we hit some major traffic. It took us an hour to get there. We got the camera, Svetlana was home from work by then and we were on our way to a new location- the farm. As we got out of the car I discovered to my HUGE amazement that my Mark IS Working! AGAIAN, I mean I was SCREAMING to Elena- come on, get out of the car, we got to shoot now it IS working!!!!!!!!!! :))) It  has been working all night. I still will be shipping it out to service center later after my trip to Florida this weekend to check it out. Just in case. The location I was thinking about at the US bank Arena was closed down and remodeled to a lousy place that just messed up Elena’s hair. So some ideas that we were planning to do we will have to re-do later this month. I was so bummed. But then I got home ( after spending two hours in the company of Elena and her mom who cooked us a late… very late dinner, pss, don’t tell anyone!!!) and downloaded all the images we’ve got and you know what- they are actually stunning! :))) After all- it was just a day that meant to happen exactly this way! :))) And I am so grateful for it. And weather, and my friends and just the way it all plays out like this- the Universe keeps reminding us to appreciate what we have and enjoy it. Setting up goals, but using tools available to us now and doing our best with what we got! :)))

Could not help but share one… :) She is SO CUTE!

A daughter is a bundle of firsts that excite and delight, giggles that come from deep inside and are always contagious, everything wonderful and precious and your love for her knows no bounds.

My dear little Angel! I love her so very much, even when she is driving me absolutely insane! She is my baby! My little rose, and my kitten, and my cute button and I could not even get enough words o describe HOW MUCH I love this little miracle! img_4390

It was so much fun to photograph Zachary- he is such a calm and “sleepy” baby- just what every photographer need, right???!!! His brother on another hand, well, he is fast!!! I HAD to chase him around and every time I was ready to press the shutter - he’d run away! Unbelievable!!! But still he is so adorable- he reminds me of that little baby on The Picture of Cupid by Raphael Sanzio! I loved photographing these two little boys- I hope you will enjoy their pictures!

{my day to day life}

August 3, 2009

It has been pretty hectic here- I’ll admit!

Between work, Gabriella, photosessions, photo editing, trying to work out, going out with girls and other day to day stuff- I am about to go crazy!!!! But I would not want it any other way. Well, I just wish I could spend more time with my little princess- she is so cute saying : “I love you, mommy”, hundred of thousands of times a day { to me as well as to other people}, I am going to try to explain to her that she should use this word much carefully! Still can’t help but smile every time she says it!

I am booked all the way through the end of August. Thanks everyone for your overwhelming support and response to my photography! I am glad to be able to capture something that you will cherish for years to come. If interested in booking a session in September- please, email me as soon as possible so we can reserve a spot for you and your family!

Today I am going to share a few images of Zachary Alexander Correnti, a little boy I had a pleasure to photograph a few weeks ago. I am not completely done with his images but just HAVE to show you some! He is so adorable!
